HAND IN HAND INDIA VILLAGE UPLIFTMENT PROGRAMME Please find enclosed the six-month report on the Village Upliftment Programme for Arasanimangalam panchayat, made possible through a grant supported by ISS for the project began in August 2016 and the activities conducted from August 2016 to February 2017 are detailed in the report below. Achievements List of activities during the last six months is given below Village Development Committee Formed Six meetings conducted to involve the community in planning the activities to be implemented under VUP. Self Help Groups and Microfinance 9 Self Help Groups are functioning with 135 members. Hand in Hand India disbursed a loan of INR.1410000/- among 58 members for enterprise creations. Child Labour Elimination Project Two Children Learning Centres (CLCs) were started; 43 children are currently enrolled in the CLCs. One children’s day programme conducted; 64 school students participated. Health One health awareness meeting on basic health and personal hygiene conducted and 25 people got benefitted. One medical (General) camp was conducted; 206 persons got benefited. Citizens’ Centre One Citizens’ Centre established. 34 people were given e-literacy training.
